Wishing Tree was my first band. I was in college in Starkville, MS, and by the look of it, obviously intent on becoming a sensitive alt-rock type.
Using stringed instruments like cello and violin, we developed our own sound in the midst of the grunge period. It was pretty and poetic, but it had an edge. I knew I had sunk to an all-time low when I (purposely) dyed my hair black (above right).
