Of course, Mississippi history is somewhat notorious, but there is a beautiful and poignant aspect to the state and its people that is widely discounted. Native Mississippians have made tremendous contributions to the world as musicians, artists, actors, authors, doctors, soldiers, scientists, and beyond.
